Lake Abitibi elevation continues to increase at a rate of about 6 cm per day. This morning our measurement station in La Sarre recorded an elevation of 264.994 m (CGD). The lake level is expected to reach its maximum normal elevation of 265.390 m (CGD) by Friday, May 17th.
Spill operations have been underway for several days at our Twin Falls and Iroquois Falls generating stations and have been increased as much as possible at this time.
On Friday, May 10th, inflow conditions had peaked at 1116 m3/s and has shown signs of a declining trend. However, basin conditions remain very strong and well above normal.
